Playful Penguin Childcare

A community daycare home that is licensed by the Government of New Brunswick’s Department of Social Development. Playful Penguin Childcare is owned and operated by Kim Lovelace.

The goal of Playful Penguin Childcare is to promote each child’s development, regardless of what level they are at and always keeping in mind each child’s individual learning style and current interests. Through play, interacting with peers, and hands on experiences children are able to learn about themselves and everything around them. It is for that reason that I place such a high value on play; play is the key to helping children with their physical, cognitive and emotional growth. In a quality setting, children should be able to express themselves freely, and explore their environment in a safe and secure fashion; doing this will allow the child to develop a high sense of self.

Services Available:

- Drop In Childcare, school days between 8am and 12pm, ages 15 months to 5 years. Very limited availability during the summer months.

- Occasional Saturday drop in childcare, ages 15 months to 12 years.

- After School Program serving children attending West Riverview Elementary, Monday to Friday from the end of school until 6pm (pd days, storm days, and school holidays – 7:30am until 6pm)
